ABSTRACT
Dear Reader,
Academicians, economists and industrialists tend to segregate various segments of industry - where chemistry and chemical technology play a major role - and often deal with them rather independently of each other – be it pharmaceuticals, perfumes and fragrances, fertilizers, pesticides, textiles, dyestuffs, petrochemicals, food and beverage, electronics or industrial coatings, to name a select few. This editorial tries to capture the intricate relationship between pesticides and pharmaceuticals, which is as fascinating as it is intriguing.
