Pharmacy a unique profession in the dynamic world of healthcare, is pivoted at the intersection of science and technology which addresses the crucial needs of healthcare. Healthcare is continuously ridden with plentiful challenges, which could lead to serious consequences if left unattended. Antimicrobial resistance a global scourge, infectious diseases and cancer are escalating over the years. The increasing incidence of chronic lifestyle diseases including cardiovascular disease and CNS ailments from depression to mania to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s is a grave concern. The accelerated pace of deteriorating health, lifestyle diseases overpowering the young population in their 30’s, the logarithmic increase in the afflicted population and the escalating healthcare costs dictates the need for newer paradigms in healthcare interventions. Advanced innovation and research could be the magic wand for the much-needed solutions.
