One of the most common infections is helminthiasis or helminth infections. A significant section of the global population is affected by this degenerative illness. The comparative study was undertaken to evaluate the anthelmintic activity of aqueous and ethanolic extract of green and red leaves of Terminalia Catappa against indian earthworm Pheretima posthuma. Two concentrations(25 and 50 mgmL-1) of aqueous and ethanolic extracts of both leafs were evaluated in anthelmintic assay involving determination of time of paralysis (P) and time of death (D) of the worms. Albendazole was used as standard, distilled water used as negative control. The results of presented study indicated that the ethanolic and aqueous extract significantly exhibited paralysis of worms and also caused death of worm at higher concentration as compared to standard drug.
