Multi-drug cocrystals (MDC) have gained increasing interest in recent times. It is also known as drug-drug cocrystals. It provides a safe, economical, high-reward path for the development of new and improved medications. By adding an appropriate therapeutically effective component to a medication without changing its chemical makeup, it can enhance physiochemical and biological properties of both molecules. Despite their numerous benefits, MDC have not been documented often. In this article, we examined MDC that have been reported and patented during the past few years and discussed the prospects to their advancement.
