Oral dosage forms are commonly utilized due to their ease of administration, ability to encourage patient adherence, and capacity to preserve formulation stability. Tablets and capsules are the most common types of medication taken orally. However, a significant drawback is the challenge of swallowing, especially for young and elderly patients. Pharmaceutical progress Reconstitutable oral suspension dosage forms have recently attracted attention in the field of science and technology. These systems are favoured when there is a need to ensure drug stability, since they demonstrate sufficient chemical stability over the entire duration of their storage and also decrease the weight of the finished product. Dry suspension formulations offer advantages in terms of bioavailability because they disintegrate in water outside the oral cavity, allowing for direct absorption in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). This enhances absorption compared to tablets and capsules. The objective of this research was to mask the intensely bitter taste of Cefditoren pivoxil, a broad-spectrum antibiotic known for its unpleasant taste, which can lead to poor patient compliance. The research aimed to develop granules of the drug along with selected excipients and then add flavoring agents for taste masking to formulate an oral Reconstitutable dry suspension.
